Research Coordinator

Richard (Wei-Yi) Chen coordinates work in TCSS’ research clusters on the US-China rivalry, digital technologies, and climate change. He works on traditional and non-traditional security issues ranging from cross-strait peace to stakeholder analysis for Taiwan’s foreign relations. His academic background includes international relations, European politics and public policy, receiving his bachelor’s from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and master’s at KU Leuven (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven) in Belgium.
