Submission Guidelines

  • Word Count: Article submissions shall not exceed 1,200 words in length
    • Introduction & Background: 300 – 400 words
    • Analysis & Commentary: 500 – 600 words
    • Conclusion & Recommendations: 100 – 200 words
  • Please include the following information with your submission:
    • Author’s Title & Affiliation
    • Brief Self-Introduction
    • 1 to 3 Images or Graphics to be published with your article
      • Public domain or royalty-free assets
      • Those created by the author

Those interested in contributing are encouraged to email their submissions as Microsoft Word files. For questions of style and format, writers should refer to the opinion and or op-ed section of major publications as examples. The views and opinions expressed in the articles are those of the author and do not represent the views of their affiliate institution or the Taiwan Center for Security Studies. Once accepted for publication, articles and their assets become the intellectual property of the Taiwan Center for Security Studies. Articles are subject to copy editing for clarity and substance. Editors will contact the article’s author about any edits or revisions that will be made. No major alterations may be made by an author once the article has been approved for publication. Editors are responsible for the selection and acceptance of articles; responsibility for opinions expressed and accuracy of facts in articles published rests solely with individual authors.
