The TCSS and the Centre for National Security Studies of MS Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (CNSS) officially entered into a MOU to collaborate on addressing critical regional challenges. The MOU signing ceremony, which took place online on Feb.21, marks the beginning of a promising partnership aimed at enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The CNSS was established under the MS Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (MSRUAS), a top private University in Bangalore, India. The areas of focus for the Centre are emerging and critical technologies, maritime security narratives including issues pertaining to Indo-Pacific Region and climate change and sustainability challenges and the impact of all these issues on national, regional and global security.

Since last July, the two think tanks have been laying the groundwork for this collaboration, emphasizing the importance of establishing robust communication channels. Maj Gen JV Prasad (Retd), Director of CNSS, expressed appreciation for the positive start and highlighted the significance of furthering communication during face-to-face meetings in March.

“We are delighted to see the progress we have made so far and look forward to advancing to the next stage of our partnership,” said Dr. Fu-Kuo Liu, Director of TCSS. Both parties are committed to leveraging their expertise to tackle complex challenges affecting the region.

In addition to security concerns, the partnership aims to extend its reach into the educational sphere and explore opportunities for engagement with the business community.

The signing of the MOU represents a significant milestone in fostering dialogue and cooperation between CNSS and TCSS. Both organizations are committed to working closely together to address regional challenges and contribute to stability and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region.
